Sp8de - decentralized gambling platform of the future

Sp8de is a protocol for a decentralized, blockbuster based platform with many features that are necessary for the growing blockchain gambling industry and whose robust implementation is missing in any of the currently existing projects in this space.

The game of Chance is a game with a risk; The fact is that the risks and, of course, the reward. However, everything is said. In fact, these are just abstract concepts and a lack of mathematical substance. These are just artifacts of ancient man-made games built around a concept that is at least as old as the universe itself. This concept is usually called chaos or randomness: the absence of a pattern or combination that can be understood.

It still sounds abstract. Therefore, when applied to the game, randomness is the basic concept: it is a process that no one can manipulate, and regularly delivers an unnumbered set of numbers that determine who wins and who loses. It's basically a really refreshing number. The process of generating these numbers is impossible:

a. Managed by any evil party,

b. Recognized with considerable probability, taking into account the input of information available before scrolling, or

c. Observed by someone before anyone else ... at least theoretically,

d. Also, of course, it needs to be repeated.

Blockchain has the potential to provide transparency to all transactions, drastically reduce the house edge, nearly eliminate transaction costs, ensure anonymity of participants and ultimately, create the trust among players and other industry participants.

Spade provides an environment for the design of gambling applications which are characterized with:

1. Close-to-absent transaction fees and Proof-of-Stake powered scalability that is beyond the reach of

any other on-chain casino protocol currently in existence;

2. A mechanism to generate decentralized provenly uniform randomness at arbitrary time-spans;

3. Provides rich Smart Contract functionality that allows for creativity in game design that is bounded

solely by the fantasy of the developer (and the demand for the resulting product of course).

At the heart of Spade is the protocol that generates unbiased randomness at arbitrary frequencies: it synthesizes the workings of Ouroboros and Spade blockchain itself to generate entropy. All the gambling applications on the Spade blockchain represent complex Smart Contracts that use SPX as their native currency. The outcomes of all the games on the Spade blockchain are conditioned upon the realizations of the coin tossing procedure that drives the Ouroboros protocol. The entire Spade ecosystem will flourish around these injections of entropy.

With the Spade protocol set up and running, Sp8de can start actually deploying the applications that represent some gaming logic implemented using Cardano’s smart contract scripting language. These applications run on Spade blockchain and get settled with every new heartbeat of the protocol or less frequently depending on the actual application.

There are 8,888,888,888 SPX tokens to ever be supplied. Initially, during the ICO, SPX will be issued on the Ethereum blockchain as ERC20 tokens. More detailed information can be found in the whitepaper and the SPX ICO description. The token sale is organized in 9 phases: one pre-sale and four token sales that are each followed by a jackpot round.

The price of one SPX coin increases with every sale round. The number of tokens sold and jackpotted is larger every subsequent round for the exception of the pre-sale. Every jackpot is played among all of the existing token holders.

Earlier participation allows for participation in more jackpot rounds. For example, taking part in the Pre-Sale and the first Sale gives access to all four jackpots. However, participation in, let’s say the third Sale will grant access only to Jackpots three and four.
